University supervisory units such as Environmental Health, the Supervisory Office of Food and Cosmetics as well as other legal people, send their samples to the laboratory for adjustment with the relevant rules and standards. The results of the tests are sent to the sample sender unit with the expert opinions after the chemical, microbial, physical and organoleptic analyses. Another task of the Laboratory is to supervise the activities of other partner, accredited laboratories, as well as established laboratories in production units that is performed by continuing technical inspections and completing relevant checklists throughout the year. This Office is responsible for training technical assistants of production units in the province in addition to performing tests. The sectors of the control laboratory are as follows:

Chemistry sector of food and cosmetics, microbiology, toxicology, sample collection, packaging quality assurance


- Improving the quality of Human Resources of the Office
- Qualitative and quantitative improvement of laboratory services of the Office and other laboratories in the Province
- Improving the level of financial resources of the management area
- Increasing the level of participation of people and other sectors related to the field of management activity
Dynamic participation in decision-making, planning and processes based on the promotion of the level of safety and hygiene of food, sanitary, cosmetic and packaging products produced and supplied in the Province
- Continuous effort in developing and providing laboratory technical services (quantitative and qualitative) in accordance with the requirements of the Province
- Creating constructive engagement with the private sector (manufacturing units, accredited laboratories, and colleagues) in the field of the management
- Developing and upgrading technical laboratory services related to quality control
- Making documents of all processes, inferences, analyzes, instructions, regulations and current regulations and presenting them to valid scientific references, and avoiding any personal interests during the testing and commenting processes on all samples submitted to the laboratory


- Performing chemical, physical, organoleptic and microbial tests on samples submitted to the laboratory and providing scientific and documentary evidences to the valid scientific authorities, and considering relevant standards and current regulations regarding the sample
- Applying continuous monitoring of the activities and functions of the laboratories of manufacturing units of food, cosmetics and packaging as well as partner laboratories
- Collaboration in providing educational (scientific and practical) services to internal and external customers after following the legal processes required to identify by the superiors
- Conducting research projects in the field of food and cosmetics
- Participation in programs of the region and Country in order to improve the quality of food and cosmetic products
- Participation in the issuance of production licenses for food, cosmetics and packaging manufacturing
- Contracts with manufacturing units lacking complete laboratory equipment established in the province in the field of the quality control of related products
