Shahid Rajaee Teaching Center was originally established and operated in 1977 by the private sector (Hippocrates Medical Group) under the name “Shah Ismail Maternity and Hospital”, with approximately 56 beds.
Following the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1980, the hospital was renamed “Mellat Hospital” and transferred to the public healthcare network. It has since been renamed Shahid Rajaee Teaching Center and gradually expanded to meet the region’s growing healthcare needs.
Today, it functions as a first-grade teaching hospital, treating patients while also training specialty residents, medical students, and paramedical science students under the supervision of experienced faculty members and department heads.
